The chef of the year 2008 is Thorsten Probost
The most coveted award which decorates Austria's best chefs - "Chef of the Year" - goes in the year 2008 to our chef Thorsten Probost. He reached 3 toques, 18 of 20 points in the current Guide Gault Millau.

The title is awarded overall 26th times from Gault Millau, in the past 16 years, together with AGRANA, the international sugar, starch and fruit group.

Already in 1999, Thorsten Probost was awarded for "Newcomer of the Year" by Gault Millau. His inspiration and passion are the herbs: "I stand before a plant, smell it, close my eyes - and a new recipe follows" - which characterises a "Chef of the Year."
